A nettle wrapped semi hard cheese made from grass rich Cornish milk. Mild with a slight tang but, once matured, the Yarg is lemony and creamy under it's rind with an irresistibly crumbly core. Fun fact: this cheese was named after Alan and Jenny Gray, who found the 1615 recipe in their attic ... the original recipe is thought to date back to the 13th century! It consistently wins top international awards.

Cheese arrived in good condition and was conveniently kept informed of progress via WhatsApp. Good way to cater for weddings/parties or gifts and my order worked out slightly less than I would pay at Waitrose per kilo.
I hadn't really tried this cheese before, and although alright, it's not spectacular. On the other hand the sample of ash covered goats cheese was really very good.
I’m partial to Cornish Yarg, the texture is firm and the flavour is great with a Cox’s apple. Simple but effective. Highly recommended if you haven’t tried it yet.
